ask him if the timing belt is good and how long ago he replaced it. These cars have a habit of them breaking, preventing the cam from turning, which in turn leaves valves open for the piston to hit on the compression stroke, bending the valve and potentially damaging the piston. Very costly to repair, since you'll need a head and potentially a piston.
So, before buying one of these, check with the seller on that.
As far as the clutch, not that big of a deal, but not fun...so expensive.
when it comes to japanese cars the mileage isnt ur biggest concern. that clutch is ur worse problem. itll cost u a pretty penny to get that repaired. my worse problem is the 3000 GT itself. just know that if u do get it do ur best to avoid an accident cuz even goin like 40 those things get wrecked completely.
You might want to be wary of this car. The "clutch" could be a completely dead transmission, as the seller clearly states the car is sold "as is". It is high mileage as well, and is a sports car, so you can expect those miles were hard-earned(meaning whoever drove it was probably zipping around in it, working the engine hard). Clutches arent the hardest thing to fix on a car and are relatively inexpensive, so you might want to be wary because whatever is wrong with this car, the owner doesnt want to fix it, and is selling it for a pretty cheap price..
