TOPEKA | Kansas lawmakers backed off aggressive proposals to crack down on illegal immigration Wednesday.
A Kansas Senate committee endorsed an immigration reform bill after eliminating proposals that are most important to those wanting the state to take a tough stand on the issue. The committee stripped from the bill:
â¢A requirement that businesses check new hires against E-Verify, a federal database of legal workers;
â¢Criminal penalties for businesses that knowingly hire illegal immigrants;
â¢Requirements that local police do more to enforce immigration law.
Its ok with me. Maybe they just felt like it was to little to late. Why beat a dead horse?
Hillary wants them to probably wait until after the November election. Are those official legislators superdelegates sworn to back Hillary in the August Convention? I bet they are. No matter what we should be voting for Obama.
