ill probably wont resell it so the salvage title shouldn't be a big deal as long as the panels and lines are straight and there is no frame damage.
i plan to use if for a daily driver.
Too much for a 12 yo truck with that kind of mileage plus the salvage title. You have to ask yourself why and do a carfax report first. Why would an insurance company total the truck for minor damage. You've seen those commercials showing a car on a flat bed showing minor body damage changed to fresh paint. I buy a lot of salvage vehicles but I always know why before I buy.
the 2.2L engines were not known for their reliability they had injection issues and some other problems such as head gasket failures and engine mount failures, etc
so be weary of this and expect to have to work on it at any given moment because it will give you problems eventually
the title you better call the DMV office about that to make sure it can be transferred and driven legally again with it being salvage certificate issued
you can rebuild it from a salvage certificate in IL but i dunno about down there...
the title will be stamped rebuilt forever now, at least it would be up here, and would have ot be inspected and pass to be rebuilt and able to be licensed and driven again
make sure it isnt wrecked and anything bent in the front end, steering, frame etc
if it is then it may not pass inspection without being repaired
alot of time and trouble it will probably be for that much $
was probably hot rodded driven hard and hit something due to careless-ness or too much speed
good luck!
yeah bro 4-cylinders are awesome right now over V6' & V8's with gas prices going through through roof if your gonna use it to haul stuff it should do good i think the maximum weight that thing can pull is 1-metric ton just make sure you run a carfax report on it because unfortunately american in particulary gm's are known to have t(ranny, engine problems that require rebuilds and cosmetic ware once they hit 100k miles and after) i know i have owned many chevy's in my time including a Z28 which tranny started to slip on hard accelleration on me once it 99k miles but i love the GM Cars anyways over jap vehicles anyday have a mechanic test it on a high rpm test to make sure the tranny doesn't slip bro
my honda civic has more hp than it and i wouldn't pay that much for a 4 cylinder truck . i wouldn't buy a truck unless it has at least a v6
I would buy it if the price was fair. Salvage title doesn't mean anything to me as long as I know that the repairs have been done properly.
2500 is too much try half that with a salvage title
FUNNY HOW INS.CO.TOTAL OUT VEHICLES
LOOKS LIKE A PRETTY NICE P/U,BUT ALITTLE TO FAR FOR ME TO COME AND LOOK AT IT,I'M IN AL.
I don't like s10's or four cylinders but i won't have to drive it. A better question is what do YOU think of this truck?
