If you love fixing cars, this car will be a good project car. This will give you a chance to put your mark on the car. The exterior of the car does not seem to have anything wrong with it but it may change on close range. The car is more than 10 years old so it may need more than TLC when you finally get it out in the street. Good luck if you decide to get the car.

While a quick look tells very little, it at least tells you that the car isn't falling apart. From what you can see in the picture it looks like it's in good shape. The owner claims he hasn't driven in for two years which is a good sign as far as wear and tear goes--meaning it is probably in better shape than most cars its age. Based on the numbers he's throwing out there I'm assuming it's the VR-4, and with a new engine (assuming it's just about the same as the original engine) that would mean it's probably a good deal. You should check into the engine though and take it for a ride and see how it drives.

bud, unless your into doing a lot of work or paying someone a lot of money, id look for another one. He says it needs a new valve, meaning the head has to come off the engine.

What is common and happened to this car is the timing belt broke, and the piston came up and hit the valve while it was open, bending it. So, upon disassembling you will need to replace the valve, and check to make sure there's no damage to the piston. If there is, the you have to pull the motor and basically do a complete rebuild. Also you'll need to replace the timing belt.

But, if you do find one that is in good shape engine wise, and as nice body wise as this one, grab it, because they are very fun cars. First thing to ask anyone with one though is if they replaced the timing belt recently...if not, replace it.

Uh, on a scale from 1-10, 8....

Every used car will need fixing, so the fact that the seller actually admits it needs fixing is a great sign. Those are pretty good cars. They price is great, and the body looks intact. I would definitely buy it. You will have some fixing up to do, but with a car like that, it should be fun! :)

the price is too high for it

you can get better ones for better prices
