Yes...
They have no logical argument to support not having photo I'Ds.
You need to a photo I.D for almost everything...from driving to buying alcohol...The Dems are idiots on this issue.
If people want to vote but are too lazy to get a photo I.D. then they shouldn't be voting in the first place.
Its a poll tax, ding dang man I just told you that 5 minutes ago.
I am sorry that you do not believe in facts.
I find it interesting that the same clowns who have written the tax code in such a way that I have to hire an attorney to fill out the forms to do my civic duty now say getting a photo id is too burdensome.
I find the liberals concerns somewhat dubious.
Yes with real id's it would be harder for them to steal elections. It's kinda sad you need a photo id to buy alcohol/cigarettes.To even board a plane. But to vote naan that's way to much. That's a violation of people's civil right's.That's b/s.I'll contact my state reps/senator's about it later.Thanks.
I really don't see the problem with requiring a valid photo ID for voting. You need a photo ID to cash a check, drive, open a bank account, board an airline flight, purchase firearms, or purchase alcohol. Why wouldn't you have one? It doesn't really qualify as a poll tax, people who would use their Driver's License, for example, as a valid form of ID didn't pay their fee to vote, they paid it to drive, and those that just get a state ID card pay the fee so they can have valid ID for the aforementioned activities.
haha, what about republican congressmen being lobbying by Diebold and other E-voting machine companies...the FACT is that there is no Federal law requiring a person to have a photo ID to vote, so how can they require it at the polls? either you're a registered voter or you're not, at most they should require SS cards. What quarrel do you have with facts? More interested in partisan bigotry? Fine, blame the dems next time you stub your toe.
They have a history of fraudulent elections dating back to Johnson. It is no surprise that they do not want people to prove who they are, or the dead could not vote, which is exactly what has been happening for many years now.
Civil liberities?
So making fradulent elections easier is a civil liberty?
Of course ID's should be shown.
Unless you are trying to vote illegally why should this bother you?
No again... Democrats and Liberals have a problem with the fact that the ID's COST MONEY. There should be no POLL TAXES. Forcing people to produce ID is fine, so long as the ID's are free. That is the answer. Give the ID cards to vote away for free.
No republican bill has ever addressed that simple issue. Instead they are trying to score points with the public. 99.99% of the population has no problem with voter ID cards. Its charging my 85 year old grandma 25 dollars for a card she only uses to vote that is a problem...
