Did you know Dick Cheney's plane is called "The Spirit of Strom Thurmond?"?

It could have been worse. It could have been named for Senator Robert KKK Byrd. At least Thurmond renounced his segregationist views when he left the Democratic Party and became a Republican.

Oh, Ye Gods. If it had that name prior to his vice-presidency, I'd be interested in knowing who named it that. If he named it that, shame, shame on him.
