Does your community have an official poet?

I didn't know that the Kansas City Star had one until Sunday. They ran an entire series of this man's (explative dleted).

Ugh. I guess you could apply to replace him. I worry what they would ask you to write.

don munday is the paper's copy-editor, so obviously when the paper wants a poem he is right there in the pool waiting.

and the wonderful thing about poetry is that everybody gets to choose what is good, and what is bad, for themselves. there is nobody to set exams, nobody to fail you if your taste isn't right.

(this is why teachers hate poetry and never read it).
